www.iminlikewithyou.com is changing its name. For conveniance, it wants to make a shorter url but it will stay the same and nothing changes. It hasn’t announced the new name yet but I dont think it should change its name in the first place. Life goes on though lol.

Itunes 8 was released around February 9th. It has many new features. Including a new Genius sidebar and playists. The Genius feature can automatically choose a playlist of 25, 50, 75, or a 100 songs from a users library that have similarities to a selected song. The Genius sidebar recommends songs from the Itunes Store based on the library track.  From experience I can tell you that the Genius features work phenomenally well.  Also new with Itunes 8 is the new Grid View. Grid View shows all the music in your Itunes Library using cover art. This view can also be used for videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and TV shows. Another new thing about Itunes is HD ability. You can purchase your favorite TV Shows and movies in High Definition. Prices vary around 2.99.  Lastly there is a new Visualizer feature which allows you get lost into a 3D-scape of spheres, ribbons, and lights that pulsate by the beat of a selected song in your library. Itunes has greatly improved and if you havn’t, I encourage you to download Itunes 8.

My project was about Vilnius Lithuania. The longitude and latitude of Vilnius is 54 degrees north and 25 degrees east. Most people who live in Vilnius today are Catholics. A very big part of their religion is the Cathedral (Point out on poster) A cathedral is a large Christian church.  There are other religions that are established too. This is a big attraction for many tourists.

Lithuania was founded by a Duke named Gediminas.  Around 1325, Lithuania needed to build alliances with other countries. This began the spread of Christianity in Vilnius. They choose to ally with Poland.  Over the next few centuries Vilnius developed into a great European city. It has a well established Jewish community, and soon it became a recognized for its freedom of religion. Catholic, Orthodox, and the Jewish religion were all well established. Time went on and the upper class began speaking polish. The countries helped each other through World War I and II. Vilnius has grown many allies and has become a well rounded society.

The climate in Vilnius is relatively cold. In the summer months it gets to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. But in the winter months the average minimum temperature is 20 degrees on average.  It can still get down to around zero still.

In Vilnius, they have interesting Museums. Such as the Higher Castle Museum. (point to on poster read description) This is a decently famous museum in Vilnius and is a popular tourist attraction. Also, there is another museum being built.(Point to on poster) It is full of artwork from international artists. It is scheduled to be finished in 2011. The plans were to set the look of the museum to the architectural future of building.

Sports popular in Vilnius are to canoe, snowmobile, quad, and ice fish. They have a large variety of activities. Which is similar to our type of winter activities here in Massachusetts.  Another example is the Vilnius Vetra (point to on poster. Read description).

There are significant landmarks in Vilnius. Such as a HUGE TV Tower. In the winter season, it is decorated with lights to try to make it like a great big Christmas tree. Another landmark is the Three Crosses. (point out on poster. Description).  Amazingly World War II bombing hasn’t affected the old town of Vilnius.
            The Theme I choose is Place. It is the old town of Vilnius. Despite all the World War II bombings, most of the old town of Vilnius is still intact. It has left behind many extraordinary things. Many people think about the old town of Vilnius as soon as they here Vilnius.

This is what I have learned about Vilnius in the past month I have been studying it. I hope this presentation has taught you more about Vilnius Lithuania. 

Superbowl 43 was one to remember. I think that most people thought the first half was pretty boring. In my opinion it was a little yawnish. The commercials were the only good thing there. The half time show was probably the best I’ve ever seen. Bruce Springsteen is 59! The performance was great and the flares made it spectacular. The second half was entertaining and suspenseful. But after all of it, Steelers come out on top 30 to 23.  I was rooting for the Cardinals if it makes them feel better. My cousins who live in Pittsburg called us up after the game. They were screamin happy as could be. This is what I told them. “OK, well give it to you. You won the superbowl. But The Bruins need about 5 more wins to be in the playoffs. Pittsburg has to win the rest of the games to have a chance! And if ytou do just slide in and get 8th place well be playing you. And well call you every single time we score on your team!” Which is a good point! DONT LOOSE HOPE NEW ENGLAND. BRUINS ARE STILL HERE!
